OUR HISTORY

Rawlinson & Hunter is a Chartered Accountancy firm that was established in London in 1933 by Alfred Rawlinson, John Hannaford and Robert Hunter. From the early days the client profile was distinguished enough to include a future Prime Minister. The firm became Rawlinson & Hunter following the resignation of John Hannaford in 1938. The clientele was made up of three distinct groups; inherited wealth, stars of the stage and screen and commercial (including several football pools companies).

Robert Hunter was a frequent business traveler and it was largely due to his efforts in bringing in new international clients that the overseas offices were established; firstly in Bermuda and then in the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Jersey, Guernsey, Switzerland (Geneva and Zurich), Australia, New Zealand and, more recently, Singapore.

Clients stay with Rawlinson & Hunter for decades, thanks to the quality of service we offer. We provide advice and services to some of the wealthiest companies and individuals in the world. The vast majority of our clients come to us from personal referrals, and we act for many second and third generations of businesses and individuals that we have worked with for many years.
